Chris Davis Performance Horses is located at Waterview Farms in Bainbridge, New York. We are conveniently located 3 miles off I88 90 miles east of Albany, New York, and 30 miles east of Binghamton, New York. We are convenient to New England being less than 4 hours from Boston. To our south we are about 3.5 hours from Philadelphia so very convenient to everyone in the New Jersey area.

Waterview Farms was built in 1988 and we started out breeding, showing and training Quarter Horse. In 2001, we changed our focus to Paint horses although we still raise a few great Hunter Under Saddle prospects. We raised several foals that went on to be QH Congress, honor roll and Just For Pleasure winners. We currently have 3 brood mares. One, a double registered mare by Natural Iron, a breeding stock daughter of All Time Fancy and a TB mare who has raised us some great ones.

My main focus had always been Hunter Under Saddle horses but since my daughter started showing paints in 2002 I have switched to adding all around horses to my resume. Our daughter, Kayla, was top 5 on the top 20 list in 2007 with Dreamin Investment, her 2003 AQHA/APHA grey gelding, and went on to be Reserve World Champion in the Hunter Under Saddle at the APHA World Show in 2008. She also captured a 8th in the Showmanship and 10th in Western Pleasure.

Youth and amateur are my main focus and believe in preparing not only the horse but coaching the rider in every way to be successful showing their horse. I feel there is more to being a trainer than just training the horse. I find it the most rewarding when you put the horse and rider together as a team.

We not only show in the Northeast but also go to the Midwest and the southern states. I like to tailor every program to the individual needs of individual clients. I keep my training horse numbers to 6 to 8 at a time, so I can give every client the attention they deserve. My other niche is developing all around horses from the prospect stage. Most of our clients buy young prospects and let me develop them.

Our facility includes a 9 stall heated ventilated show barn and with washer and dryer. Stalls are cleaned daily 7 days a week we also have an additional 6 stall barn. We have a 60X80 indoor arena and a 135X250 lighted outdoor arena. All our pastures are four-board fence and all training horses are turned out on a regular basis.
